Polyurethane types, synthesis and applications – a review

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemistry, types, and synthesis of polyurethanes (PUs) are discussed, with a specific emphasis on their recyclability and recoverability, and information is provided on the environmental friendliness of the PU.
Journal ArticleDOI

Essential oil from Cinnamomum cassia bark through hydrodistillation and advanced microwave assisted hydrodistillation

TL;DR: In this paper, volatile oils were extracted from Cinnamomum cassia bark through microwave assisted hydrodistillation (MAHD) and conventional hydrodistingillation (HD) methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, liquid crystal characterization and photo-switching studies on fluorine substituted azobenzene based esters

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of fluorinated azobenzene esters have been synthesized and studied by polarized optical microscopy (POM) and UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and liquid crystalline behaviour of substituted (E)-phenyl-4-(phenyldiazenyl) benzoate derivatives and their photo switching ability

TL;DR: Azobenzene derivatives containing phenyl/4-halogen-phenyl 4-{(E)-[4-(pent-4-en-1-yloxy)phenyl]diazenyl}benzoate group with different electronegative substituent (H, F, Cl, Br and I) at other end was synthesized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aliphatic/aromatic spacers based azo dye dimers: synthesis and application for optical storage devices

TL;DR: The photoisomerization effect of new bent-shaped azo dyes in the presence of aliphatic and aromatic spacers is reported for the first time in this paper, where the synthesized compounds with n-hexane and benzene as central moieties were characterized by different spectral analytical techniques such as 1H-NMR, 13C- NMR, FTIR and UV-Vis.
