Double phase-image encryption using gyrator transforms, and structured phase mask in the frequency plane

We propose a method for fully phase image encryption based on double random-structured phase mask encoding in the gyrator transform (GT) domain. The security of the system is strengthened by parameters used in the construction of a structured phase mask (SPM) based on a devil’s vortex Fresnel lens (DVFL). The input image is recovered using the correct parameters of the SPMs, transform orders of the GT, and conjugate of the random phase masks. The use of a DVFL-based SPM enhances security by increasing the key space for encryption, and also overcomes the problem of axis alignment associated with an optical setup. The proposed scheme can also be implemented optically. The computed values of mean squared error between the retrieved and the original image show the efficacy of the proposed scheme. We have also investigated the scheme’s sensitivity to the encryption parameters, and robustness against occlusion and multiplicative Gaussian noise attacks.

Fully phase image encryption using double random-structured phase masks in gyrator domain

The Secret Sharing Scheme plays a vital role in cryptography which allows to transmit the secret digital information (image, video, audio, handwriting, etc.,) over a communication channel. This cryptographic technique involves encrypting the secret images into noisy shares and transmitted. The transmitted image shares are reconstructed using simple logical computation. In this paper, we propose a secure (n, n)- Multi-Secret-Sharing (MSS) scheme using image scrambling algorithm which is based on the logistic chaotic sequence generated using the secret key which is retrieved from the geometric pattern named as spirograph which drawn by the users with their private values. Also, decomposition and recombination of image pixels which points to change the position and values of the pixels. The experimental results estimate that the standard metrics NPCR, UACI, Entropy, Coefficient Correlation values proves the rigidness of the implemented algorithm.

Generating logistic chaotic sequence using geometric pattern to decompose and recombine the pixel values

A recently proposed secure image encryption scheme has drawn attention to the limited security offered by chaos-based image encryption schemes (mainly due to their relatively small key space) proposing a highly robust approach, based on Rubik's cube principle. This paper aims to study a newly designed image cryptosystem that uses the Rubik's cube principle in conjunction with a digital chaotic cipher. Thus, the original image is shuffled on Rubik's cube principle (due to its proven confusion properties), and then XOR operator is applied to rows and columns of the scrambled image using a chaos-based cipher (due to its proven diffusion properties). Finally, the experimental results and security analysis show that the newly proposed image encryption scheme not only can achieve good encryption and perfect hiding ability but also can resist any cryptanalytic attacks (e.g., exhaustive attack, differential attack, statistical attack, etc.).

An Improved Secure Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Rubik's Cube Principle and Digital Chaotic Cipher

Many shares are generated from the secret images that are illogical containing certain message within them in visual cryptography. When all shares are piled jointly, they tend to expose the secret of the image. The multiple shares are used to transfer the secret image by using the encryption and decryption process by means of the elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) technique. In ECC method, the public key is randomly generated in the encryption process and decryption process, the private key (H) is generated by utilizing the optimization technique and for evaluating the performance of the optimization by using the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR). From the test results, the PSNR has been exposed to be 65.73057, also the mean square error (MSE) value is 0.017367 and the correlation coefficient (CC) is 1 for the decrypted image without any distortion of the original image and the optimal PSNR value is attained using the cuckoo search (CS) algorithm when compared with the existing works.

RGB-Based Secure Share Creation in Visual Cryptography Using Optimal Elliptic Curve Cryptography Technique

In the past few years, several encryption algorithms based on chaotic systems have been proposed as means to protect digital images against cryptographic attacks. These encryption algorithms typically use relatively small key spaces and thus offer limited security, especially if they are one-dimensional. In this paper, we proposed a novel image encryption algorithm based on Rubik's cube principle. The original image is scrambled using the principle of Rubik's cube. Then, XOR operator is applied to rows and columns of the scrambled image using two secret keys. Finally, the experimental results and security analysis show that the proposed image encryption scheme not only can achieve good encryption and perfect hiding ability but also can resist exhaustive attack, statistical attack, and differential attack.
