Recovery of exhaust and coolant heat with R245fa organic Rankine cycles in a hybrid passenger car with a naturally aspirated gasoline engine
TL;DR: In this article, an ORC system fitted on the exhaust and the coolant of a hybrid vehicle with a 1.8-L naturally aspirated gasoline engine was investigated. And the average improvements all over the map were 3.4%, 1.7%, and 5.1% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Water injection in directly injected turbocharged spark ignition engines
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the use of water injection in a turbocharged, direct injection, spark ignition engines fuelled with ethanol where port injection of water numerically prove to be effective in increasing the charge efficiency, reducing the tendency to knock, and controlling the temperature of gases to turbine.
