Impact of Metal and Metal Oxide Nanoparticles on Plant: A Critical Review.
Anshu Rastogi,Marek Zivcak,Oksana Sytar,Oksana Sytar,Hazem M. Kalaji,Xiaolan He,Sonia Mbarki,Marian Brestic +7 more
TL;DR: This review examines the research performed in the last decade to show how metal and metal oxide nanoparticles are influencing the plant metabolism and proposed oxidative burst as a general mechanism through which the toxic effects of nanoparticle are spread in plants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of silicon nanoparticles in agriculture
Anshu Rastogi,Durgesh Kumar Tripathi,Saurabh Yadav,Devendra Kumar Chauhan,Marek Živčák,Mansour Ghorbanpour,Nabil I. Elsheery,Marian Brestic +7 more
TL;DR: This review brings together the literature on silicon nanoparticles and discusses the impact of Silicon nanoparticles on several aspects of agricultural sciences and the future application of silicon nanoparticle in plant growth, plant development, and improvement of plant productivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phytohormone Priming: Regulator for Heavy Metal Stress in Plants
TL;DR: Promising phytohormones are reviewed, which can potentially confer enhanced tolerance when used exogenously and can be used for agro-ecological benefits under environmental conditions with high HMs level.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prompt chlorophyll fluorescence as a tool for crop phenotyping: an example of barley landraces exposed to various abiotic stress factors
Hazem M. Kalaji,Anshu Rastogi,Marek Živčák,Marian Brestic,Agata Daszkowska-Golec,Krzysztof Sitko,Khalid Y. Alsharafa,Ramin Lotfi,P. Stypiński,I. A. Samborska,Magdalena D. Cetner +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined photosynthetic efficiency of two barley landraces (cvs. Arabi Abiad and Arabi Aswad) through a prompt fluorescence technique under influence of 14 different abiotic stress factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Regulation and physiological role of silicon in alleviating drought stress of mango
TL;DR: The results clearly show that the increment in drought tolerance was associated with an increase in antioxidative enzyme activity, allowing mango plants to cope better with drought stress.
