TL;DR: In this article, a series of fully alipha- tic polyimides (APIs) from bicyclo(2,2, 2)oct-7-ene-2,3,5,6- tetracarboxylic dianhydride (BOCA) and various aliphatic diamines, including linear alphatic, flexible alicyclic, and rigid adamantyl diamines were synthesized using one-step reactions using m-cresol at ele- vated temperatures without the isolation of poly(amic) acid.
