Mechanical behavior of coal under different mining rates: A case study from laboratory experiments to field testing
Mingzhong Gao,Mingzhong Gao,Jing Xie,Gao Yanan,Gao Yanan,Wang Wenyong,Cong Li,Bengao Yang,J. F. Liu,Heping Xie,Heping Xie +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a preliminary case investigation of the coal at various mining rates in both the laboratory scale and field scale was performed, where the uniaxial compressive strength and releasable elastic strain energy (Ue) increase with increasing loading rate when the loading rate is below a threshold.
Journal ArticleDOI
The mechanism of microwave rock breaking and its potential application to rock-breaking technology in drilling
Ming Zhong Gao,Bengao Yang,Jing Xie,S. Ye,Jun-Jun Liu,Yi-Ting Liu,Ruifeng Tang,Haiyong Hao,Xuan Wang,Xiang Wen,Xue Min Zhou +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors conducted experimental and numerical simulation research on typical deep, hard rock granite and found that the interaction of thermal stress and in situ stress would cause the inside of the rock stratum to separate into a disturbed deterioration area, disturbed unloading area and initial stress area.
Exploration of weakening mechanism of uniaxial compressive strength of deep sandstone under microwave irradiation
Bengao Yang,Mingzhong Gao,Jing Xie,Jun-Jun Liu,Fei Wang,Mingxu Wang,Xuan Wang,Xiang Wen,Zhaoliang Yang +8 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental investigation on the gas flow characteristics of coal samples with different fracture network complexities
TL;DR: In this paper, an index was defined to describe the complexity of the fracture network, and the complexity index of the fractured coal samples changes from 0.4 to 0.7.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fluid flow characteristics of cross-fractures with two branch fractures of different roughness controlled by fractal dimension: An experimental study
Jing Xie,Mingzhong Gao,Mingzhong Gao,Ru Zhang,J. F. Liu,Liu Yiting,Bengao Yang,Wang Mingyao,Fei Wang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new calculation method of the pressure-drop loss coefficient is proposed, and the competitive flow diversion behavior and fluid flow state of the two branch fractures are examined with different water head ratio.
