Diabetic Neuropathy: A cross sectional study of the relationships among tests of neurophysiology
TL;DR: The data suggest that only a small number of neurophysiological tests are actually required to clinically differentiate individuals with neuropathy from those without, and variations in the population will need to be considered in future studies of diabetic neuropathy.
Journal ArticleDOI
The recommendations of a consensus panel for the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of neurogenic orthostatic hypotension and associated supine hypertension
Christopher H. Gibbons,Peter Schmidt,Italo Biaggioni,Camille Frazier-Mills,Roy Freeman,Stuart Isaacson,Beverly Karabin,Louis Kuritzky,Mark F. Lew,Phillip A. Low,Ali Mehdirad,Satish R. Raj,Steven Vernino,Horacio Kaufmann +13 more
TL;DR: This paper summarizes the panel members’ discussions held during the initial meeting along with continued deliberations among the panelMembers and provides essential recommendations based upon best available evidence as well as expert opinion for the screening, diagnosis, treatment, and diagnosis and treatment of nOH and associated supine hypertension.
Journal ArticleDOI
Delayed orthostatic hypotension: a frequent cause of orthostatic intolerance.
TL;DR: Delayed orthostatic hypotension occurred in 54% of the tested population and was associated with milder abnormalities of sympathetic Adrenergic function, suggesting this disorder may be a mild or early form of sympathetic adrenergic failure.
