ZnO Nanostructures for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent developments in the use of ZnO nanostructures for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) applications is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developments in Nanostructured Cathode Materials for High‐Performance Lithium‐Ion Batteries

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight some new progress in using these nanostructured materials as cathodes to develop lithium batteries with high energy density, high rate capability, and excellent cycling stability resulting from their huge surface area, short distance for mass and charge transport, and freedom for volume change.

Nanostructures and Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Properties and Applications

Guozhong Cao
TL;DR: In this article, the basic properties and properties of Nanomaterials are discussed. But they do not cover the application of nanophotonics in the medical field, except for carbon nanotubes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanostructured carbon for energy storage and conversion

TL;DR: In this paper, a review article summarizes the recent research progress on the synthesis of nanostructured carbon and its application in energy storage and conversion, and the common challenges in developing simple, scalable, and environmentally friendly synthetic and manufacturing processes, in controlling the nanoscale and high level structures and functions, and in integrating such materials with suitable device architectures are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding electrochemical potentials of cathode materials in rechargeable batteries

TL;DR: In this article, the material characteristics that determine and influence the electrochemical potentials of electrodes are discussed, in particular the cathode materials that convert electricity and chemical potential through electrochemical intercalation reactions.
