Sharing and community curation of mass spectrometry data with Global Natural Products Social Molecular Networking

Mingxun Wang, +135 more
- 01 Aug 2016 -
TL;DR: In GNPS, crowdsourced curation of freely available community-wide reference MS libraries will underpin improved annotations and data-driven social-networking should facilitate identification of spectra and foster collaborations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of microplastics in water by micro-Raman spectroscopy: Release of plastic particles from different packaging into mineral water

TL;DR: It is shown that micro-Raman spectroscopy is particularly useful in detecting microplastics in drinking water where particle sizes are in the low micrometer range, and indicates that the packaging itself may release microparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolism of anthocyanins and their phenolic degradation products by the intestinal microflora.

TL;DR: It is found that all anthocyanidin glycosides were hydrolysed by the microflora within 20 min and 2 h of incubation depending on the sugar moiety, and phenolic degradation products were already detected after 20 min of incubations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Scientific Opinion on Pyrrolizidine alkaloids in food and feed

TL;DR: The Panel concluded that whilst the available data do not indicate a concern for any population subgroup, the dietary exposure estimates relate to a limited number of food groups and a possible unknown contribution from other foods cannot be discounted.
