Effect of spray-dried plasma and lipopolysaccharide exposure on weaned pigs: I. Effects on the immune axis of weaned pigs.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the basal activation of the immune system appears to be less for pigs feeding the diet with SDP compared to pigs fed the diet without SDP after weaning, and there appeared to be an overresponse of theimmune system following LPS administration, which resulted in major damage to the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract.
