Defected Ground Structure: Fundamentals, Analysis, and Applications in Modern Wireless Trends
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an introduction and evolution of DGS and how DGS is different from former technologies: PBG and EBG, and several theoretical techniques for analysing the Defected Ground Structure are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis and design of wide band Microstrip-line-fed antenna with defected ground structure for Ku band applications
TL;DR: In this article, a wide band Microstrip antenna with defected ground structure is proposed for Ku band applications with a circular shape defect integrated in the ground plane, which has an impedance bandwidth of 56.67% ranging from 9.8 GHz to 17.55 GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis and design of dual band compact stacked Microstrip patch antenna with defected ground structure for WLAN/WiMax applications
TL;DR: In this article, a compact Microstrip-Line-Fed stacked patch antenna is proposed for WLAN/WiMax applications, where a circular shaped defect is embedded in the ground plane and antenna is stacked by a circular patch with air gap.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stacked dual‐band circularly polarized microstrip antenna with small frequency ratio
TL;DR: In this article, a dual-band circularly polarized stacked microstrip patch antenna with a small frequency ratio is presented, where the lower patch is having a pair of peripheral cuts in the circular patch with cross slot loaded at the center.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical Analysis and Design of High-Stable-Gain Antenna with Ultrawide Band Capabilities and Suppressed Back Radiations
TL;DR: A novel shaped microstrip antenna is proposed for millimeter wave wireless applications by embedding the defect in the ground plane by using a metallic reflector and a dielectric superstrate, which deflects the radiated waves of near-reactive region and influenced the surface wave on the antenna surface and results in the enhanced antenna bandwidth and gain.
