Journal ArticleDOI

Plant growth under water/salt stress: ROS production; antioxidants and significance of added potassium under such conditions.

TL;DR: In the present review an effort has been made to revisit the old findings and the current advances in research regarding the role of optimal, suboptimal and deficient K soil status on growth under normal and stressful conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Potassium induces positive changes in nitrogen metabolism and antioxidant system of oat (Avena sativa L cultivar Kent)

TL;DR: In this article, the effectivity of different potassium salts on growth and certain components of nitrogen metabolism and antioxidant system in oat and their possible role in amelioration of water stress was analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Treatment of Jatropha curcas L. Leachates and Potassium on Growth and Phytochemical Constituents of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

TL;DR: Results suggest that the leachates of leaf and ovary wall of Jatropha curcas are slightly inhibitory, however the impact does not last long, Nevertheless, continuous plantation may lead to accumulation of damaging constituents which reflects the need for further analysis and experimentation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phytochemical analysis of Jatropha curcas L. during different seasons and developmental stages and seedling growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum L) as affected by extracts/leachates of Jatropha curcas L.

TL;DR: Experiments indicate harmful allelopathic effects of Jatropha leachates /extracts on wheat seedlings, hence further experimentation and analysis is recommended before continued plantation of Jandropha particularly on fertile soils.
Book ChapterDOI

Jatropha curcas: An Overview

TL;DR: The paper also includes the reports about phytochemical constituents of Jatropha and also refers to less discussed aspects, i.e., possible allelopathic effects.
