Evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean (Altai-Sayan Region, Central Asia) and collision of possible Gondwana-derived terranes with the southern marginal part of the Siberian continent

TL;DR: In this article, a revised terrane classification based on Vendian-Cambrian geodynamic units and evolution of terranes is described. And reactivated suture zones along the terrane boundaries are proposed, which suggest the important role of strike-slip deformations in the formation of mosaic block structure of Central Asia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lithological Signatures of Early Carboniferous Events in the Northeastern Siberian Craton (Western Verkhoyansk Region)

TL;DR: In this article , the authors focus on assuming sources of coarse carbonate material transported into the Visean Northern Kharaulakh basin by debris flows along submarine canyons from their initial littoral deposition to relatively deep accommodation basins.
Journal ArticleDOI

New lithological and biostratigraphic data from the Middle Ordovician of the Teletskoe Lakeside, Altai

TL;DR: In this paper , new data on lithology, stratigraphy and paleontology of the Middle Ordovician strata cropped out in the Teletskoe Lakeside, Altai, are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reef Complexes of the Late Ordovician–Early Silurian Altai Basin: Classification, Structure, Paleobiota, and Paleogeography

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented data on the classification, structure, and biota of reef complexes from the Late Ordovician-early Silurian Altai Basin of the Russian Far East.
