Lignocellulosic biomass pyrolysis mechanism: A state-of-the-art review

TL;DR: A broad review of the state-of-the-art biomass pyrolysis research can be found in this article, where three major components (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) are discussed in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism study of wood lignin pyrolysis by using TG–FTIR analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, Van Soest's method was performed to extract lignin from different species of biomass, including fir and birch lignins, and the microstructure was studied by a Fourier transform infrared spectrometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of the interaction of components on the pyrolysis behavior of biomass.

TL;DR: In this article, the pyrolysis characteristics of biomass have been investigated using both a thermogravimetric analyzer coupled with a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (TG-FTIR) and an experimental Pyrolyzer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of the pyrolysis behavior of lignins from different tree species.

TL;DR: The FTIR profiles for the main pyrolysis products (CO(2), CO, methane, methanol, phenols and formaldehyde) were analyzed and the variation in pyrolynsis products between the different MWLs was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Research on biomass fast pyrolysis for liquid fuel

TL;DR: In this paper, a fluidized bed reactor with 3 kg h −1 throughput operating at an atmospheric pressure with an inert atmosphere at 773 K has been used to produce bio-oils from the wood feedstocks such as Pterocarpus indicus, Cunninghamia lanceolata, and Fraxinus mandshurica, as well as from rice straw.
