A Review on the Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles and Their Morphologies Studied via TEM

TL;DR: A review of the research on green synthesis of silver metal nanoparticles and the influence of the method on their size and morphology can be found in this paper, where the authors describe a brief overview of their work.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B dye by cotton textile coated with SiO2-TiO2 and SiO2-TiO2-HY composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors thank CAPES from Brazil for the financial support of this work, which is also a result of project "AIProcMat@N2020 − Advanced Industrial Processes and Materials for a Sustainable Northern Region of Portugal 2020" with the reference NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000006 and the project BioTecNorte (operation NORTE -01-145-FCF-000004), supported by Norte Portugal Regional Operational Programme (NORTE 2020), under the Portugal 2020 Partnership Agreement, through the
Journal ArticleDOI

Silver Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Properties, and Applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to find a solution to the problem of how to improve the performance of the physics department at the University of Oslo, 24 Sem Saelandsvei, 316 Oslo, Norway 2Institute of Physics, University of Tartu, Ravila 14c, 51014 Tartus, Estonia 3Tartu College, Tallinn University of Technology, Puiestee 78, 51008 Tartu-Estonia, Estonia 4 Department of Physics at University of Minho, 4800-058 Guimaraes, Portugal
Journal ArticleDOI

Improved performance of rare earth doped LiMn2O4 cathodes for lithium-ion battery applications

TL;DR: In this article, different rare earth element (Dy, Gd, Tb and Yb) doped LiMn2O4 spinel active materials were prepared by a sol-gel method and two pairs of separated redox peaks were observed, regardless of the dopant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrothermal Synthesis, Structural Investigation, Photoluminescence Features, and Emission Quantum Yield of Eu and Eu−Gd Silicates with Apatite-Type Structure

TL;DR: In this article, a preferential substitution of Ln3+ by Na+ ions in 4f position for both materials was suggested, which impacts their local symmetry, optical properties, and quantum efficiency, and evidence of concentration quenching effects was discussed based on the 5D0 lifetime and the emission quantum yield dependence on the Eu3+ concentration.
