Journal ArticleDOI
Classification of aerosol-generating procedures: a rapid systematic review.
Tanya D Jackson,Danika Deibert,Graeme Wyatt,Quentin Durand-Moreau,Anil Adisesh,Kamlesh Khunti,Sachin Khunti,Simon Smith,Xin Hui S Chan,Lawrence Ross,Nia Roberts,Elaine Toomey,Trisha Greenhalgh,Isheeta Arora,Susannah M Black,Jonathan Drake,Nandana Syam,Robert J Temple,Sebastian Straube +18 more
TL;DR: There is sufficient evidence of agreement across different international guidelines to classify certain procedure groups as aerosol generating, however, some clinically relevant procedures received surprisingly little mention in the source documents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Covid-19: how to use your time when clinical placements are postponed.
TL;DR: Most UK medical schools have postponed clinical teaching because of the covid-19 pandemic, leaving students, who would usually be busy with exam preparations and clinical commitments, with time off, to develop more effective learning strategies that support long term knowledge retention.
Journal ArticleDOI
A generic cell surface ligand system for studying cell-cell recognition.
Eleanor M. Denham,Michael I Barton,Susannah M Black,Marcus Bridge,Ben de Wet,Rachel L. Paterson,P. Anton van der Merwe,Jesse Goyette,Jesse Goyette +8 more
TL;DR: This work validate the system for a range of immunoreceptors, including the T-cell receptor (TCR), and shows that this generic ligand stimulates via the TCR at a similar surface density as its native ligand, and extends it to the activation of chimeric antigen receptors.

A generic cell surface ligand system for studying cell-cell recognition
Eleanor M. Denham,Michael I Barton,Susannah M Black,Marcus Bridge,Ben de Wet,Rachel L. Paterson,P. Anton van der Merwe,Jesse Goyette +7 more
TL;DR: This system allows the effect of surface density, valency, dimensions, and affinity of the ligand to be manipulated, and can be readily extended to other receptor-cell surface ligand interactions, and will facilitate investigation into the activation of, and signal integration between, cell surface receptors.
