Onset and control of Neo-classical Tearing Modes on JET

TL;DR: The EURATOM/UKAEA Fusion Association and CRPP/EURATOM Confederation Suisse/EPFL/ EPFL/EuratOM-TEKES/Helsinki University of Technology/Finland are investigating the fusion of EMMARM, a type of superconducting magnets, which combines radiolysis of E-modulus and liquid chromatography to create Higgs boson.
Journal ArticleDOI

The small tight aspect ratio tokamak experiment

TL;DR: The Small Tight Aspect Ratio Tokamak (START) as discussed by the authors achieved plasma currents up to 200 kA, peak densities of ∼2×1020 m−3 and central electron temperatures of ∼500 eV at an aspect ratio of 1.3-1.5.
Journal ArticleDOI

Global scaling of the heat transport in fusion plasmas

Sara Moradi, +1224 more
TL;DR: In this article, a global heat flux model based on a fractional derivative of plasma pressure is proposed for the heat transport in fusion plasmas, and the degree of the fractional derivatives of the heat flux, α, is defined through the power balance analysis of the steady state.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tearing mode stability calculations with pressure flattening

TL;DR: In this article, a specific pressure flattening function was proposed to predict the stability of toroidal tokamak tearing mode stability in axisymmetric toroidal geometry, which is first tested numerically in cylindrical geometry with an artificial favourable curvature.
