Adsorption isotherm, kinetic, and optimization studies for copper (II) removal from aqueous solutions by banana leaves and derived activated carbon

TL;DR: In this article , a comparison study was performed between powder and activated carbon (BLAC) as adsorbents for copper (II) removal from aqueous solutions, and the resulted data were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) equations.
Journal ArticleDOI

A unique, inexpensive, and abundantly available adsorbent: composite of synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and banana leaves powder (BLP)

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the development of a new inexpensive adsorbent by immobilization synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto banana leaves powder (BLP), and the prepared composite was used as an adaption for Zn(II, Pb(II), and Fe(III) ion removal from aqueous solutions under the influence of various reaction conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electropolishing of steel in presence of some amines

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of adding some organic amines on the electropolishing of steel was investigated. And the results showed that organic amine has strongest inhibiting effect ranging from 5% to 59.7% and the thermodynamic parameters as ΔS*, ΔH* and ΔG* were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Therapeutic Potential of Silybum Marianum and Pergularia Tomentosa Extracts from Jordanian Origin in Diabetes Mellitus

TL;DR: The revealed DPP-IV inhibitory activity of tested extracts advocates that their active constituents, particularly flavonoids, are capable of binding to the enzyme’s active cleft.
