Journal ArticleDOI

HIV protease inhibitors: a review of molecular selectivity and toxicity

TL;DR: From the chemical structures of HIV protease inhibitors and their possible off-target molecules, hints for optimizing the molecular selectivity of the inhibitors are obtained to provide help in the design of new compounds with enhanced bioavailability and reduced side effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Database Resources of the National Genomics Data Center, China National Center for Bioinformation in 2023

Yongbiao Xue, +189 more
TL;DR: The National Genomics Data Center (NGDC), part of the China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB), provides a family of database resources to support global academic and industrial communities as discussed by the authors .
Journal ArticleDOI

Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) Alleviates Hepatic Fibrosis via TGF-β Signaling

TL;DR: The obtained data suggest that TRPV1 may alleviate CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis and attenuate the effect of TGF-β on HSC activation, proliferation, and apoptosis, which overall implies that targeting TRpV1 channel activity may be an effective therapeutic strategy for treating liver fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

SLC12A5 promotes hepatocellular carcinoma growth and ferroptosis resistance by inducing ER stress and cystine transport changes

TL;DR: In this article , the effects of SLC12A5 in HCC have not been determined and new effective treatments are needed, which plays important roles in multiple complex pathological states and is overexpressed in a variety of malignancies.
Journal ArticleDOI

TRPM8 deficiency attenuates liver fibrosis through S100A9-HNF4α signaling

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of TRPM8 deficiency on liver fibrosis was evaluated using specimens obtained from classic murine models of Liver fibrosis, namely wild-type (WT) andTRPM8-/- (KO) fibrotic mice after carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) or bile duct ligation (BDL) treatment.
