Using Bat Algorithm with Levy Walk to Solve Directing Orbits of Chaotic Systems

TL;DR: A new variant named bat algorithm with Gaussian walk is proposed in which the original uniform sample manner is replaced by one Gaussian sample, and results show the modification is superior to other algorithms.

A solution to optimal power flow with DC link placement problem using chaotic krill herd algorithm

TL;DR: A DC link placement problem through the DC link equations with the conventional optimal power flow prospect is studied by using a new optimization technique called chaotic krill herd algorithm (CKHA) to solve this problem.

Mutational Chemotaxis Motion Driven Moth-Flame Optimizer for Engineering Applications

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors proposed an enhanced moth-flame optimization algorithm named HMCMMFO, which combines the mechanisms of hybrid mutation and chemotaxis motion, where the hybrid-mutation mechanism can enhance population diversity and reduce the risk of stagnation.

An Efficient TDOA and GROA Localization Mechanism Based on GSO algorithm with Flight Theory

TL;DR: The simulation results indicate that the proposed localization mechanism has relative higher and stable localization accuracy compared with TDOA algorithm and the proposed algorithm performance of ranging error, the number of reference nodes, Gaussian random variable variance and the root mean square error is higher.

Synchronization in chaotic systems

TL;DR: This chapter describes the linking of two chaotic systems with a common signal or signals and highlights that when the signs of the Lyapunov exponents for the subsystems are all negative the systems are synchronized.

Simple mathematical models with very complicated dynamics

TL;DR: This is an interpretive review of first-order difference equations, which can exhibit a surprising array of dynamical behaviour, from stable points, to a bifurcating hierarchy of stable cycles, to apparently random fluctuations.

Chaos in dynamical systems

TL;DR: In the new edition of this classic textbook, the most important change is the addition of a completely new chapter on control and synchronization of chaos as mentioned in this paper, which will be of interest to advanced undergraduates and graduate students in science, engineering and mathematics taking courses in chaotic dynamics, as well as to researchers in the subject.
