Past, Present, and Future of Solid Phase Extraction: A Review

TL;DR: Extraction techniques are dominant, especially those based on the processes running on the phase such as liquid-liquid and/or liquid-solid as mentioned in this paper, due to the reproducibility of data, precision, relatively low cost of the appropriate analysis, simplicity of the determination, and the possibility of direct combination of those techniques with other methods (both on-line and off-line).
Journal ArticleDOI

Sample preparation for the analysis of volatile organic compounds in air and water matrices.

TL;DR: This review summarizes literature data from the past 5 years on new developments and/or applications of sample preparation methods for analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOC), mainly in air and water matrices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent advances in SPME techniques in biomedical analysis

TL;DR: This review focuses on recent advances in novel SPME techniques, including fiber S PME and in-tube SPMe, in biomedical analysis and summarizes the applications of these techniques to pharmacotherapeutic, forensic, and diagnostic studies, and to determinations of environmental and occupational exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of sulfonamide antibiotics in wastewater: a comparison of solid phase microextraction and solid phase extraction methods.

TL;DR: SPME is a viable method for overcoming matrix effects in environmental samples and when applied the SPME method to fortified wastewater samples, it was generally able to accurately determine those sulfonamides that were present.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent developments and applications of microextraction techniques in drug analysis

TL;DR: This review focuses primarily on microextraction techniques developed over the last decade, and presents a summary of the characteristics of various approaches in drug analysis.
