Journal ArticleDOI

Banff '05 Meeting Report: differential diagnosis of chronic allograft injury and elimination of chronic allograft nephropathy ('CAN').

TL;DR: The 8th Banff Conference on Allograft Pathology was held in Edmonton, Canada, 15–21 July 2005, and major outcomes included the elimination of the non‐specific term ‘chronic allograft nephropathy’ (CAN) and the recognition of the entity of chronic antibody‐mediated rejection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complement activation in acute humoral renal allograft rejection: diagnostic significance of C4d deposits in peritubular capillaries.

TL;DR: C4d in peritubular capillary walls distinguishes AHR from ACR, is more specific and sensitive than traditional criteria, and is a potentially valuable adjunct in the diagnosis of graft dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glomerulopathy Associated with Cytomegalovirus Viremia in Renal Allografts

TL;DR: Investigating the relation between cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and renal-allograft dysfunction in 14 patients found two allografts recovered their function, both with cessation of high-dose immunosuppression and most of these patients did not have viremia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glomerulopathy Associated With Cytomegalovirus Viremia in Renal Allografts

TL;DR: It is concluded that viremic CMV infection can cause acute glomerular injury and that recovery may be favored by a decreased in immunosuppressants.
