Sascha Abbas,Jakob Linseisen,Sabine Rohrmann,Jenny Chang-Claude,Petra H.M. Peeters,Pierre Engel,Magritt Brustad,Eiliv Lund,Guri Skeie,Anja Olsen,Anne Tjønneland,Kim Overvad,Marie-Christine Boutron-Ruault,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon,Guy Fagherazzi,Rudolf Kaaks,Heiner Boeing,Brian Buijsse,George Adarakis,Vassilis Ouranos,Antonia Trichopoulou,Giovanna Masala,Vittorio Krogh,Amalia Mattiello,Rosario Tumino,Carlotta Sacerdote,Genevieve Buckland,Marcial Vicente Argüelles Suárez,María José Sánchez,María Dolores Chirlaque,Aurelio Barricarte,Pilar Amiano,Jonas Manjer,Elisabet Wirfält,Per Lenner,Malin Sund,H. TL;DR: In this large prospective cohort of 319,985 women, there was no evidence for an association between dietary vitamin D or calcium intake and breast cancer risk and the test for trend was borderline statistically significant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Methylome analysis and epigenetic changes associated with menarcheal age.
Christiana A. Demetriou,Jia Chen,Silvia Polidoro,Karin van Veldhoven,Cyrille Cuenin,Gianluca Campanella,Kevin Brennan,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon,Laure Dossus,Laure Dossus,Marina Kvaskoff,Marina Kvaskoff,Dagmar Drogan,Heiner Boeing,Rudolf Kaaks,Angela Risch,Dimitrios Trichopoulos,Dimitrios Trichopoulos,Pagona Lagiou,Pagona Lagiou,Pagona Lagiou,Giovanna Masala,Sabina Sieri,Rosario Tumino,Salvatore Panico,J. Travis,Isabelle Romieu,Valentina Gallo,Valentina Gallo,Marc J. Gunter,Zdenko Herceg,Kyriacos Kyriacou,Elio Riboli,James M. Flanagan,Paolo Vineis +45 more
TL;DR: A link between age at menarche and genome wide DNA methylation is suggested, and the difference in results between the two arrays suggests that repetitive element methylation has a role in the association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determinants of age at menarche and time to menstrual cycle regularity in the French E3N cohort.
Laure Dossus,Marina Kvaskoff,Marina Kvaskoff,Anne Bijon,Anne Bijon,Béatrice Fervers,Marie-Christine Boutron-Ruault,Marie-Christine Boutron-Ruault,Sylvie Mesrine,Sylvie Mesrine,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon +11 more
TL;DR: Age at menarche and menstrual cycle regularity are significantly influenced by several individual, environmental and lifestyle factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Childhood and adolescent exposures and the risk of endometriosis.
Marina Kvaskoff,Anne Bijon,Françoise Clavel-Chapelon,Sylvie Mesrine,Marie-Christine Boutron-Ruault +4 more
TL;DR: This large study suggests that some exposures during childhood or adolescence may influence the risk of endometriosis and further research is needed to confirm and better understand these relationships.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endogenous sex steroids and risk of cervical carcinoma: results from the EPIC study
Sabina Rinaldi,Martyn Plummer,Carine Biessy,Xavier Castellsagué,Kim Overvad,Susanne K. Allen,Ruth C. Travis,Isabelle Romieu,Pietro Ferrari,Elio Riboli,Silvia Franceschi +52 more
TL;DR: It is suggested for the first time that T and possibly E2 may be involved in the etiology of invasive cervical carcinoma and the responsiveness of cervical tumors to hormone modulators is worth exploring.
