Journal ArticleDOI
Environmental Analysis of Textile Products
TL;DR: In this paper, the increasing public awareness and sense of social responsibility related to environmental issues have led the textile industry to manufacture products with improved environmental profiles, which can be classified as green textile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pigments extracted from the wood‐staining fungi Chlorociboria aeruginosa, Scytalidium cuboideum, and S. ganodermophthorum show potential for use as textile dyes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used various concentrations of green, red, and yellow pigments extracted with dichloromethane from the wood-staining fungi Chlorociboria aeruginosa, Scytalidium cuboideum, and S.ganodermophthorum, respectively, for the effective dyeing of bleached cotton, spun polyamide (nylon 6.6), spun polyester (Dacron 54), and worsted wool.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preservation of Archaeological Textiles Through Fibre Mineralization
TL;DR: In this article, a model for dyeing cellulosic fibres was adopted to explain the process of fiber mineralization and the characteristics of the microstructures of archaeological and laboratory mineralized fibres were examined and compared with those of modern Indian hemp fibres using scanning electron microspectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Green Self-Identity and Cognitive and Affective Involvement on Patronage Intention in Eco-Friendly Apparel Consumption: A Gender Comparison
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined both male and female consumers' green self-identity, cognitive and affective involvement, as well as their patronage intention for eco-friendly apparel, and found that men and women were motivated by different factors.
Journal Article
Colorfastness of Extracted Wood-staining Fungal Pigments on Fabrics: a new potential for textile dyes
TL;DR: In this paper, pigments from three species of pigmenting fungi, Chlorociboria aeruginosa (xylindein, green), Scytalidium cuboideum (draconin red, red), and S. ganodermophthorum (yellow), were used to dye multi-fabric test strips.
