TINF2 Gene Mutation in a Patient with Pulmonary Fibrosis
Thijs W. Hoffman,J J van der Vis,M.F.M. van Oosterhout,H.W. van Es,D.A. van Kessel,J.C. Grutters,C.H.M. van Moorsel +6 more
TL;DR: A heterozygous Ser245Tyr mutation in the TINF2 gene of previously healthy female patient that presented with progressive cough due to pulmonary fibrosis as well as panhypogammaglobulinemia at age 52 is identified, which is the first report of a TinF2 mutation in a patient with sporadic pulmonary Fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) -173 polymorphism is associated with clinical erythema nodosum in Löfgren's syndrome.
Bekir Karakaya,C.H.M. van Moorsel,A.H.M. van der Helm-van Mil,Twj Huizinga,Henk J.T. Ruven,J J van der Vis,Jan C. Grutters +6 more
TL;DR: The MIF -173C allele is associated with erythema nodosum in Löfgren's syndrome, but not with susceptibility to Sarcoidosis, indicating a role for MIF after antigen presenting to the T cell has taken place and the sarcoid inflammatory response has begun.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bronchoalveolar lavage characteristics correlate with HLA tag SNPs in patients with Löfgren's syndrome and other sarcoidosis.
Bekir Karakaya,M C Schimmelpennink,Lenka Kocourkova,J J van der Vis,B. Meek,Jan C. Grutters,Martin Petrek,C.H.M. van Moorsel +7 more
TL;DR: It is found that HLA‐DRB1*03 and HLA•DRB 1*15 can be approximated by genotyping of tag SNPs and corresponds with the degree of lymphocytosis and cell phenotypes in BAL in both LS and non‐LS sarcoidosis patients.
