Simultaneous irradiation effects of hydrogen and helium ions on tungsten
TL;DR: Simultaneous irradiation effects of He on tungsten blistering with hydrogen and carbon mixed ion irradiation were investigated in this paper, where it was found that only 0.1% addition of He ions to 1-keV H and C mixed ion beam (C: 0.8-1.0%) reduced (473-K) or completely suppressed (653-K and 723k) blister formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deuterium trapping in tungsten damaged by high-energy hydrogen ion irradiation
M. Fukumoto,H. Kashiwagi,Y. Ohtsuka,Yoshio Ueda,M. Taniguchi,T. Inoue,K. Sakamoto,J. Yagyu,Takashi Arai,Ikuji Takagi,T. Kawamura +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of radiation damage on deuterium trapping in tungsten were investigated using SIMS/NRA and TDS techniques, and it was shown that the implanted D was trapped at the radiation-induced defects which had desorption peaks at ~770 and ~920 K.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen behavior in damaged tungsten by high-energy ion irradiation
M. Fukumoto,H. Kashiwagi,Y. Ohtsuka,Yoshio Ueda,Yuji Nobuta,J. Yagyu,Takashi Arai,M. Taniguchi,T. Inoue,K. Sakamoto +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of radiation damage on the behavior of hydrogen trapped in tungsten were investigated using a mixed hydrogen-carbon ion beam and deuterium ion beam.
Journal ArticleDOI
Blister formation on tungsten damaged by high energy particle irradiation
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of radiation damage on hydrogen behavior in tungsten surfaces was investigated and it was shown that the number of blisters produced by the mixed ion beam irradiation decreased with increasing radiation damage, especially for blisters with diameters of 20μm or less.
Journal ArticleDOI
Localized tungsten deposition in divertor region in JT-60U
Yoshio Ueda,M. Fukumoto,J. Watanabe,Y. Ohtsuka,Takashi Arai,Nobuyuki Asakura,Y. Nobuta,M. Sato,T. Nakano,J. Yagyu,Kentaro Ochiai,K. Takakura,T. Tanabe +12 more
TL;DR: Tungsten local transport in the diverter region emitted from the outer divertor was studied in JT-60U as mentioned in this paper, where Tungsten-coated CFC tiles were installed in the inner divertor position, on which outer strike points did not normally sit.
