Journal ArticleDOI

Phy-X / PSD: Development of a user friendly online software for calculation of parameters relevant to radiation shielding and dosimetry

TL;DR: A user friendly online photon shielding and dosimetry (PSD) software available at https://phy-x.net/PSD has been developed for calculation of parameters relevant to shielding as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of the gamma ray shielding properties for polyvinyl chloride reinforced with chalcocite and hematite minerals

TL;DR: The results showed that the addition of hematite and chalcocite enhance theμm of PVC polymers, and it was found that the μm of chalCocite/PVC is higher than that of heMatite/pVC due to the copper content in the former.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phy-X/ZeXTRa: a software for robust calculation of effective atomic numbers for photon, electron, proton, alpha particle, and carbon ion interactions

TL;DR: Robust calculation of effective atomic numbers for photon, electron, proton, alpha particle and carbon ion interactions through the newly developed software, Phy-X/ZeXTRa, found to agree well with that obtained by other methods, in the low-energy region.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of gamma-ray attenuation features for La+3 co-doped zinc borotellurite glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, gamma ray and neutrons shielding features were evaluated for La+3 co-doped zinc borotellurite glasses with chemical formula {[(TeO2)070(B2O3)030]07(ZnO)030}1-x(La2O 3)x: 001≤ x-≤ −005%mol%
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of RE oxides (Eu3+, Sm3+, Nd3+) on gamma radiation shielding properties of lead fluoroborate glasses

TL;DR: In this article, the change in lead fluoroborate glass properties with change in RE2O3 (RE=Eu, Sm, Nd) chemical composition was reported, which exhibited improvement in the radiation shielding properties of the glass samples.
