Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical recommendations for cardiovascular magnetic resonance mapping of T1, T2, T2 and extracellular volume: A consensus statement by the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) endorsed by the European Association for Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI)
Daniel Messroghli,James C. Moon,Vanessa M Ferreira,Lars Grosse-Wortmann,Taigang He,Peter Kellman,Julia Mascherbauer,Reza Nezafat,Michael Salerno,Erik B. Schelbert,Andrew J. Taylor,Richard B. Thompson,Martin Ugander,Ruud B. van Heeswijk,Matthias G. Friedrich +14 more
TL;DR: This document provides a summary of the existing evidence for the clinical value of parametric mapping in the heart as of mid 2017, and gives recommendations for practical use in different clinical scenarios for scientists, clinicians, and CMR manufacturers.
Journal ArticleDOI
MR evaluation of the glomerular homing of magnetically labeled mesenchymal stem cells in a rat model of nephropathy.
Olivier Hauger,Emma E. Frost,Ruud B. van Heeswijk,Colette Deminière,Rong Xue,Yahsou Delmas,Christian Combe,Chrit T. W. Moonen,Nicolas Grenier,Jeff W.M. Bulte +9 more
TL;DR: Intravenously injected superparamagnetic iron oxide-labeled MSCs specifically home to focal areas of glomerular damage and can be detected at ex vivo MR imaging are detected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Respiratory Self-navigated Postcontrast Whole-Heart Coronary MR Angiography: Initial Experience in Patients
Davide Piccini,Pierre Monney,Christophe Sierro,Simone Coppo,Gabriele Bonanno,Ruud B. van Heeswijk,Jerome Chaptinel,Gabriella Vincenti,Jonathan De Blois,Simon C. Koestner,Tobias Rutz,Arne Littmann,Michael Zenge,Juerg Schwitter,Matthias Stuber +14 more
TL;DR: The self-navigated coronary MR angiography sequence shows promise for coronary imaging, however, technical improvements are needed to improve image quality, especially in the more distal coronary segments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Free-running 4D whole-heart self-navigated golden angle MRI: Initial results.
Simone Coppo,Davide Piccini,Davide Piccini,Gabriele Bonanno,Jerome Chaptinel,Gabriella Vincenti,Hélène Feliciano,Ruud B. van Heeswijk,Juerg Schwitter,Matthias Stuber +9 more
TL;DR: To test the hypothesis that both coronary anatomy and ventricular function can be assessed simultaneously using a single four‐dimensional acquisition, a single 4D acquisition is used.
Journal ArticleDOI
Free-Breathing 3 T Magnetic Resonance T2-Mapping of the Heart
Ruud B. van Heeswijk,Hélène Feliciano,Hélène Feliciano,Cédric Bongard,Gabriele Bonanno,Gabriele Bonanno,Simone Coppo,Simone Coppo,Nathalie Lauriers,Didier Locca,Juerg Schwitter,Matthias Stuber,Matthias Stuber +12 more
TL;DR: The new, well-characterized 3 T methodology enables robust and accurate cardiac T(2)-mapping at 3 T with high spatial resolution, while the addition of a reference phantom improves reproducibility and may be well suited for longitudinal studies in patients with suspected or established heart disease.
