Influence of Chemical Composition of Eucalyptus Wood on Gravimetric Yield and Charcoal Properties
Bárbara Luísa Corradi Pereira,Angélica de Cássia Oliveira Carneiro,Ana Márcia Macedo Ladeira Carvalho,Jorge Luiz Colodette,Aylson Costa Oliveira,Maurício Paulo Ferreira Fontes +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the chemical properties of wood from six clones of Eucalyptus spp. relative to charcoal yield and its properties, determine the correlations between the evaluated parameters and identify a clone with the greatest potential for charcoal to steelmaking use.
TL;DR: The experimental results showed that the Vegetal charcoal obtained from the evaluated clones presented a gravimetric efficiency and quality satisfactory; woods with low relation S/G promote increases on the vegetal charcoal efficiency, the different wood clones behavior showed quite similar in relation to the mass loss, on a thin temperature band.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biomass torrefaction for energy purposes – Definitions and an overview of challenges and opportunities in Brazil
Carlos Miguel Simões da Silva,Angélica de Cássia Oliveira Carneiro,Benedito Rocha Vital,Clarissa Gusmão Figueiró,Lucas de Freitas Fialho,Mateus Alves de Magalhães,Amélia Guimarães Carvalho,Welliton Lelis Cândido +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the application potential of torrefaction in the solid fuel's production from lignocellulosic biomasses in Brazil and showed the definitions, use for energy purposes and the Brazilian production of agroforestry biomass.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quality of Wood and Charcoal from Eucalyptus Clones for Ironmaster Use
Bárbara Luísa Corradi Pereira,Aylson Costa Oliveira,Ana Márcia Macedo Ladeira Carvalho,Angélica de Cássia Oliveira Carneiro,Larissa Carvalho Santos,Benedito Rocha Vital +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of wood and charcoal from different clones of Eucalyptus spp. were evaluated and the samples were from a clonal, located in the city of Lassance, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
