Preliminary evidence for biologic activity of toceranib phosphate (Palladia®) in solid tumours
Cheryl A. London,Tamra Mathie,Nicole Stingle,Craig A. Clifford,Siobhan Haney,Mary K. Klein,Linda Beaver,Kate Vickery,David M. Vail,Betsey Hershey,Susan Ettinger,Andrew Vaughan,Francisco J. Alvarez,Lorin Hillman,Mike Kiselow,Doug H. Thamm,Mary Lynn Higginbotham,Meredith Gauthier,Erika L. Krick,Brenda Phillips,Tracy Ladue,Pam Jones,Jeffery Bryan,Virginia L. Gill,Andrew Novasad,Lisa Fulton,Janet K. Carreras,C. J. McNeill,Carolyn J. Henry,Sarah Gillings +29 more
TL;DR: Preliminary evidence that toceranib exhibits CB in dogs with certain solid tumours is provided, although future prospective studies are necessary to define its true activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of COAP and UW‐19 Protocols for Dogs with Multicentric Lymphoma
Kenji Hosoya,William C. Kisseberth,Linda K. Lord,Francisco J. Alvarez,Ana Lara-Garcia,Carrie E. Kosarek,Cheryl A. London,C. Guillermo Couto +7 more
TL;DR: Use of a long-term doxorubicin-containing sequential combination chemotherapy protocol is associated with a decreased risk of relapse and death relative to a non-doxorubo-containing protocol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dexamethasone, melphalan, actinomycin D, cytosine arabinoside (DMAC) protocol for dogs with relapsed lymphoma.
TL;DR: The DMAC protocol is an effective rescue protocol for dogs with relapsed multicentric lymphoma and although thrombocytopenia is a common manifestation of toxicity, in general, the protocol is well tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Retrospective evaluation of the effectiveness of epsilon aminocaproic acid for the prevention of postamputation bleeding in retired racing Greyhounds with appendicular bone tumors: 46 cases (2003-2008).
L.M. Marín,M. Cristina Iazbik,Sara Zaldívar-López,Linda K. Lord,Nicole Stingle,Paulo Vilar,Ana Lara-Garcia,Francisco J. Alvarez,Kenji Hosoya,Laura Nelson,Antonio Pozzi,Edward S. Cooper,Mary A. McLoughlin,Rebecca Ball,William C. Kisseberth,Cheryl A. London,Robert M. Dudley,Jonathan Dyce,Melanie B. McMahon,Phillip Lerche,Richard M. Bednarski,C. Guillermo Couto +21 more
TL;DR: This retrospective study suggests that preemptive postoperative administration of EACA appears to be efficacious in decreasing the frequency of bleeding in RRGs undergoing limb amputation; however, a prospective study is warranted to corroborate its effectiveness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adjuvant CCNU (lomustine) and prednisone chemotherapy for dogs with incompletely excised grade 2 mast cell tumors.
Kenji Hosoya,William C. Kisseberth,Francisco J. Alvarez,Ana Lara-Garcia,Gillian Beamer,Paul C. Stromberg,C. Guillermo Couto +6 more
TL;DR: Postoperative adjuvant CCNU appears to be a useful alternative to radiation therapy for incompletely excised canine cutaneous MCTs, and local recurrence rate, metastasis rate, and survival time were evaluated.
