Experimental study of pulse-jet cleaning of bag filters supported by rigid rings
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental characterisation of pulse-jet cleaning of filter bags supported by rigid rings was carried out on a semi-industrial pilot dust collector, where signals were monitored along bag filters (over their full height) to provide a record of key parameters: pressure drop, filter medium acceleration, face air velocity and axial velocity of the compressed air jet.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laboratory Study of Selected Personal Inhalable Aerosol Samplers
TL;DR: Compared with CEN-ISO-ACGIH sampling criteria for inhalable dust, the experimental results show fairly high sampling efficiency for the IOM and CIP 10-I v2 samplers and slightly lower efficiencies for the Button and Cip 10- I v1 sampler.
Journal ArticleDOI
First Metagenomic Survey of the Microbial Diversity in Bioaerosols Emitted in Waste Sorting Plants
TL;DR: The NGS biodiversity measurements revealed a higher biodiversity bioaerosols that previously reported for WSP in studies carried out using culture methods followed by identification of microorganisms, providing the first survey about taxonomic biodiversity in bio aerosols from WSPs using high-throughput sequencing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Downstream particle puffs emitted during pulse-jet cleaning of a baghouse wood dust collector: Influence of operating conditions and filter surface treatment
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the performance of two polyester fiber filter media: one with a smooth anti-adhesive thermo-bonded surface and the second covered with a microporous polymeric membrane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aerosolisation of Escherichia coli and associated endotoxin using an improved bubbling bioaerosol generator
TL;DR: In this article, a modified LSA-type bubbling liquid generator was used to produce experimental bioaerosols with known and controlled characteristics, such as stability, stability over time and reproducibility.
