Convective heat transfer and flow characteristics of Cu-water nanofluid

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental system was built to investigate convective heat transfer and flow characteristics of the nanofluid in a tube, and the effects of such factors as the volume fraction of suspended nanoparticles and the Reynolds number on the heat transfer was discussed in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

Super-Planckian thermal radiation enabled by hyperbolic surface phonon polaritons

TL;DR: In this paper, the super-Planckian thermal radiation via hyperbolic surface phonon polaritons (HSPhPs) was achieved by coupling Type I HSPhPs inside the anisotropic hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) film, which improves the energy transmission coefficient over a broad wavevector space.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of one-dimensional Si/SiO2 hotonic crystals for thermophotovoltaic filter

TL;DR: In this paper, an 8-layer one-dimensional photonic crystals (PC) filter structure was designed as quarter-wave periodic structure by selecting silicon (Si) and silicon dioxide (SiO2) as candidate materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation and control scheme of microstructure in magnetic fluids

TL;DR: In this article, a molecular dynamics simulation method was used to study the three-dimensional microstructure of magnetic fluids by means of the molecular dynamics simulations method, and the authors showed that suspended magnetic nanoparticles tend to aggregate and make the irregular distribution structure in the absence of an external magnetic field.

Laser and intermediate and far infrared compatible invisible membrane structure

TL;DR: In this article, a laser and intermediate and far infrared compatible invisible membrane structure which is formed by ZnS materials and Ag materials in an alternated layer upon layer mode and totally has five layers was revealed.
