Long-Reach High-Capacity Hybrid MDM-OFDM-FSO Transmission Link Under the Effect of Atmospheric Turbulence
Mehtab Singh,Jyoteesh Malhotra +1 more
TL;DR: Design and performance analysis of hybrid OFDM-FSO link for the transmission of 4 independent channels each having a data rate of 20 Gb/s incorporating Mode division multiplexing of distinct Hermite Gaussian modes over a link distance of 10 km to 50 km under clear weather conditions is reported.

Performance Comparison of Different Modulation Schemes in High-Speed MDM Based Radio Over FSO Transmission Link Under the Effect of Atmospheric Turbulence Using Aperture Averaging
Mehtab Singh,Jyoteesh Malhotra +1 more
TL;DR: It is observed that as the strength of the atmospheric turbulence increases, the performance of the link degrades whereas the Bit error rate and the Quality Factor of the received signal are significantly improved by increasing the receiver aperture diameter.

Performance Comparison of 2 × 20 Gbit/s-40 GHz OFDM Based RoFSO Transmission Link Incorporating MDM of Hermite Gaussian Modes Using Different Modulation Schemes
Mehtab Singh,Jyoteesh Malhotra +1 more
TL;DR: The results presented show that 4-QAM scheme performs better as compared to 4-PSK scheme, and the modal decomposition of the transmitted channels in terms of linear polarized modes at the receiver terminal can be used for realizing long-reach high-capacity bandwidth efficient information transmission links.

Mehtab Singh,Jyoteesh Malhotra +1 more
TL;DR: The proposed RoFSO transmission system incorporating 4-QAM modulation demonstrates a successful transmission of 2 × 20 Gbit/s–40 GHz information over 104 km link range under clear weather conditions.

Yan Yan,Guodong Xie,Martin P. J. Lavery,Hao Huang,Nisar Ahmed,Changjing Bao,Yongxiong Ren,Yinwen Cao,Long Li,Zhe Zhao,Andreas F. Molisch,Moshe Tur,Miles J. Padgett,Alan E. Willner +13 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates a 32-Gbit’s−1 millimetre-wave link over 2.5 metres with a spectral efficiency of ~16 bit s− 1 Hz−1 using four independent orbital–angular momentum beams on each of two polarizations, and shows an 8-Gbits−1 link containing two orbital angular momentum beams with crosstalk less than −12.5 dB.
