Journal ArticleDOI

European phenological response to climate change matches the warming pattern

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used an enormous systematic phenological network data set of more than 125 000 observational series of 542 plant and 19 animal species in 21 European countries (1971-2000) and concluded that previously published results of phenological changes were not biased by reporting or publication predisposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

TRY - a global database of plant traits

Jens Kattge, +136 more
TL;DR: TRY as discussed by the authors is a global database of plant traits, including morphological, anatomical, physiological, biochemical and phenological characteristics of plants and their organs, which can be used for a wide range of research from evolutionary biology, community and functional ecology to biogeography.
Journal ArticleDOI

A narrow-waveband spectral index that tracks diurnal changes in photosynthetic efficiency

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a new "physiological reflectance index" (PRI) isolated from narrow waveband spectral measurements of sunflower canopies, which correlates with the epoxidation state of the xanthophyll cycle pigments.
