TL;DR: A multivariate analytic approach that optimizes sensitivity and reduces unnecessary testing is introduced and is demonstrated by identifying the effects of age and gender on the resting-state networks of 603 healthy adolescents and adults.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neural correlates of non-specific skin conductance responses during resting state fMRI.
Joshua Gertler,Stephanie Novotny,Andrew Poppe,Yu Sun Chung,James J. Gross,Godfrey D. Pearlson,Michael Stevens +6 more
TL;DR: The neural correlates of non-specific SCRs are a widespread, cortical network of brain regions engaged in a complex, seemingly biphasic fashion, which should be considered in replication studies that attempt to directly link brain activity to possible homeostatic mechanisms or seek evidence for alternative mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Decisional Informatics for Psychosocial Rehabilitation: A Feasibility Pilot on Tailored and Fluid Treatment Algorithms for Serious Mental Illness.
Jimmy Choi,Paul H. Lysaker,Morris D. Bell,Lisa Dixon,Paul J. Margolies,Matthew Gold,Elizabeth Golden-Roose,Warren Thime,Lawrence Haber,Michael J. Dewberry,Michael Stevens,Godfrey D. Pearlson,Joanna M. Fiszdon +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Fluid Outpatient Rehabilitation Treatment (FORT) tool is introduced to assist clinicians in developing and updating treatment decisions in real-time, based on clinical needs of patients.
fMRI Response During Figural Memory Task Performance in College Drinkers [pre-print]
Decisional Informatics for Psychosocial Rehabilitation: A Feasibility Pilot on Tailored and Fluid Treatment Algorithms for Serious Mental Illness
Jimmy Choi,Paul H. Lysaker,Morris D. Bell,Lisa Dixon,Paul J. Margolies,Matthew Gold,Elizabeth Golden-Roose,Warren Thime,Lawrence Haber,Michael J. Dewberry,Michael Stevens,Godfrey D. Pearlson,Joanna M. Fiszdon +12 more
TL;DR: Although the comparison groups were not completely equivalent, the findings suggest computerized decision support systems that collaborate with human decision-makers to personalize psychiatric rehabilitation and address critical decisions may have a role in improving treatment effectiveness and efficiency.
