TL;DR: A multivariate analytic approach that optimizes sensitivity and reduces unnecessary testing is introduced and is demonstrated by identifying the effects of age and gender on the resting-state networks of 603 healthy adolescents and adults.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time after time: The psychological reality of the Ego- and Time-Reference-Point distinction in metaphorical construals of time.
TL;DR: Time-Reference-Point metaphors (Time-RP) as mentioned in this paper focus on the role of reference points in ascribing orientation, rather than on the identity of a moving entity (Ego or Time).
Journal ArticleDOI
Subjective age bias : A motivational and information processing approach
TL;DR: In this paper, a measure for the feeling that most older people feel considerably younger than their real age was proposed, based on empirical evidence, but still a lack of theoretical explanations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of mu rhythm in infants and preschool children.
Marika Berchicci,Tongsheng Zhang,Lucinda Romero,Amanda Peters,Robert D. Annett,Ursina Teuscher,Maurizio Bertollo,Yoshio Okada,Julia M. Stephen,Silvia Comani +9 more
TL;DR: The results show a rapid maturation in spontaneous mu rhythm during the first year of life, determined from the amplitude spectra, which increased rapidly as a function of age from 2.75 Hz at 11 weeks to 8.25 Hz at 47 weeks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relation between Time Perspective and Delay Discounting: A Literature Review.
TL;DR: In this article, the relation between delay discounting and future time perspective is examined by reviewing how these concepts have been measured and quantified in order to assess their conceptual similarities, and the extent to which the different measures are empirically related.
