Michael H. Wholey,Mark H. Wholey,Klaus Mathias,Gary S. Roubin,Edward B. Diethrich,Michel Henry,Steven R. Bailey,Patrice Bergeron,Gerald Dorros,Eles G,P Gaines,Camilo R. Gomez,Bruce H. Gray,J Guimaraens,Randall T. Higashida,D S Ho,Barry T. Katzen,A Kambara,Vijay Kumar,Jean Claude Laborde,Martin B. Leon,Lim Mc,Hugo F. Londero,Juan E. Mesa,A Musacchio,Subbarao Myla,S. R. Ramee,A Rodriquez,Kenneth Rosenfield,N Sakai,Fayaz A. Shawl,Horst Sievert,George P. Teitelbaum,Jacques Theron,P Vaclav,Vozzi C,Jay S. Yadav,S I Yoshimura +37 more
TL;DR: The periprocedure risks for major and minor strokes and death are generally acceptable at this early stage of development and have not changed significantly since the first survey results.

Presence of severe intimal thickening by intravascular ultrasonography predicts cardiac events in cardiac allograft vasculopathy
Mandeep R. Mehra,Hector O. Ventura,Dwight D. Stapleton,Frank W. Smart,T. C. Collins,S. R. Ramee +5 more
TL;DR: This study represents one of the first reports that provides evidence that severe intimal hyperplasia predicts the development of cardiac events even in the presence of a normal coronary angiogram.
Journal ArticleDOI
One-Year Clinical Outcomes With SAPIEN 3 Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in High-Risk and Inoperable Patients With Severe Aortic Stenosis.
Howard C. Herrmann,Vinod H. Thourani,Susheel Kodali,Rajendra Makkar,Wilson Y. Szeto,Saif Anwaruddin,Nimesh D. Desai,Scott Lim,S. Chris Malaisrie,Dean J. Kereiakes,S. R. Ramee,Kevin L. Greason,Samir R. Kapadia,Vasilis Babaliaros,Rebecca T. Hahn,Philippe Pibarot,Neil J. Weissman,Jonathon Leipsic,Brian Whisenant,John G. Webb,Michael J. Mack,Martin B. Leon +21 more
TL;DR: The very low rates of important complications resulted in a strikingly low mortality rate at 1 year, which likely reflect device iteration and procedural evolution, and support the use of transcatheter aortic valve replacement as the preferred therapy in HR and inoperable patients with aorta stenosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intravascular gamma radiation for in-stent restenosis in saphenous-vein bypass grafts.
Ron Waksman,Andrew E. Ajani,R. Larry White,Rosanna C. Chan,Lowell F. Satler,Kenneth M. Kent,Augusto D. Pichard,Ellen Pinnow,Anh B. Bui,S. R. Ramee,Paul S. Teirstein,Joseph Lindsay +11 more
TL;DR: The results of this study support the use of gamma-radiation therapy for the treatment of in-stent restenosis in patients with bypass grafts.
Journal Article
Influence of donor and recipient gender on cardiac allograft vasculopathy: An intravascular ultrasound study
Mandeep R. Mehra,Dwight D. Stapleton,H.O. Ventura,Alvaro Escobar,Cynthia A. Cassidy,Frank W. Smart,Tyrone J. Collins,S. R. Ramee,Christopher J. White +8 more
TL;DR: Male recipients of female allografts have a higher degree of vascular intimal hyperplasia detected by intravascular ultrasound at 1 year after heart transplantation, indicating that donor and recipient gender influences the early genesis of cardiac allografted vasculopathy.
