TL;DR: The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Molecular Allergology User's Guide (MAUG) as mentioned in this paper provides comprehensive information on important allergens and describes the diagnostic options using component-resolved diagnosis (CRD).
Journal ArticleDOI
Fish Allergens at a Glance: Variable Allergenicity of Parvalbumins, the Major Fish Allergens
TL;DR: These findings were useful for the advancement of the IgE-based diagnosis and also for the management of fish allergies consisting of advice and treatment of fish-allergic patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of enolases and aldolases as important fish allergens in cod, salmon and tuna: component resolved diagnosis using parvalbumin and the new allergens.
Annette Kuehn,Christiane Hilger,C. Lehners-Weber,F. Codreanu-Morel,Martine Morisset,Carine Metz-Favre,Gabrielle Pauli,F. de Blay,Dominique Revets,Claude P. Muller,Lothar Vogel,Stefan Vieths,François Hentges +12 more
TL;DR: The majority of fish‐allergic patients are sensitized to parvalbumin, known to be the cause of important IgE cross‐reactivity among fish species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Allergy to furry animals: New insights, diagnostic approaches, and challenges
Jon R Konradsen,Jon R Konradsen,Takao Fujisawa,Marianne van Hage,Gunilla Hedlin,Gunilla Hedlin,Christiane Hilger,Jörg Kleine-Tebbe,Elizabeth C. Matsui,Graham Roberts,Graham Roberts,Graham Roberts,Eva Rönmark,Thomas A.E. Platts-Mills +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a workshop on furry animals was held to provide an up-to-date assessment of the exposure and immune response to the major mammalian allergens, the relationship of these responses (particularly those to specific proteins or components) to symptoms, and the relevance of these specific antibody responses to current or future investigation of patients presenting with allergic diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
WHO/IUIS Allergen Nomenclature: Providing a common language

Chan,Uta Jappe,Jörg Kleine-Tebbe,Wayne R. Thomas,Martin D. Chapman,Marianne van Hage,Ronald van Ree,Stefan Vieths,Monika Raulf,Richard E. Goodman +19 more
TL;DR: The Allergen Nomenclature database, which currently includes approximately 880 proteins from a wide variety of sources, maintains and revises the database, and addresses continuous challenges as new “omics” technologies provide increasing data about potential new allergens.
