The LHCb detector at the LHC

A. A. Alves, +889 more
TL;DR: The LHCb experiment is dedicated to precision measurements of CP violation and rare decays of B hadrons at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN (Geneva).
Journal ArticleDOI

DIRAC: A Community Grid Solution

TL;DR: An overview of the DIRAC system architecture and design choices is given to show how different components are put together to compose an integrated data processing system including all the aspects of the LHCb experiment - from the MC production and raw data reconstruction to the final user analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-commutative geometry and measurements of polarized two photon coincidence counts

TL;DR: In this article, the distance between two photons in a polarized beam of given helicity is shown to have a discrete spectrum, such a spectrum should become manifest in measurements of two photon coincidence counts, and the resulting noncommutative geometry of photon position and the quantum version of the Pythagorean theorem is discussed.

Final State Interactions and the Effects of Potentials on Particle Reactions

TL;DR: In this paper, the potentials due to the exchange of gluons and a hypothetical Higgs particle are explicitly considered and the potential of the Coulomb interaction between final state products is considered.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum limits on pixel resolution from non-commutative photon coordinates

TL;DR: In this paper, non-commutative geometry is used to set lower bounds on pixel resolution in photon detector technology, and the lower bounds are shown in Fig. 1 : The lower bound.
