Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical studies of anthocyanins: A review
Araceli Castañeda-Ovando,Ma de Lourdes Pacheco-Hernández,Ma. Elena Páez-Hernández,Jose A. Rodriguez,Carlos Andrés Galán-Vidal +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the most recent advances in the chemical investigation of the anthocyanins are summarised, emphasising the effects of pH, co-pigmentation, metal ion complexation and antioxidant activity on their stability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopy study of 5-amino-1,10-phenanthroline.
Ma. Teresa Ramírez-Silva,Martín Gómez-Hernández,Ma de Lourdes Pacheco-Hernández,Alberto Rojas-Hernández,Laura Galicia +4 more
TL;DR: UV absorptivity coefficients obtained suggest that the first protonation takes place on the nitrogens of the heterocycle ring and the second protonations could take place on a amino group of the 5-Aphen species.
Journal ArticleDOI
UV-visible spectroscopic and electrochemical study of the complex formation between Fe(II) and 5-amino-1,10-phenantroline (5-Aphen) in aqueous solution.
María Luisa Lozano-Camargo,Alberto Rojas-Hernández,Martín Gómez-Hernández,Ma de Lourdes Pacheco-Hernández,Laura Galicia,María Teresa Ramírez-Silva +5 more
TL;DR: The spectroscopic and electrochemical results show that only one stable complex between Fe(II) and 5-Aphen forms, having a 1:3 stoichiometric ratio is observed, which is in agreement with the electrochemical behaviour observed in the system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Equilibrium Constants Determination of the Species Formation in the Al(III)-H2O System by Integration of 27Al-NMR Signals and Fitting with Species Fractions
Alberto Rojas-Hernández,Julio César Botello,Ma de Lourdes Pacheco-Hernández,Atilano Gutiérrez,José Manuel Domínguez,G. Espinosa,María Teresa Ramírez-Silva +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a quantitative methodology to determine formation con- stants that takes into consideration the 27 Al-NMR signals of Al(III)-H2O systems has been analyzed, where area fractions beneath the peaks recorded were associated with the corresponding species frac- tions.
