TL;DR: Cisplatin-induced up-regulation of Fas, Fas ligand and TNF-alpha mRNAs in the kidney in vivo and in RTCs in vitro concludes that the Fas- and TNFR1-mediated apoptotic pathways are directly involved in the pathogenesis of cisplatin -induced RTC death process.

TL;DR: The risk of becoming HCV‐positive was high in patients with low serum creatinine, serum albumin, and serum total cholesterol levels, and/or a low body mass index before beginning dialysis, and the percentage is particularly high in Patients with a period of dialysis of 20 years or longer.

Parathyroidectomy and survival among Japanese hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of PTx on survival in maintenance hemodialysis patients with severe secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) and found that successful PTx may reduce the risk for all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in patients with uncontrolled SHPT.
