Experimental observation of topological Fermi arcs in type-II Weyl semimetal MoTe2
Ke Deng,Guoliang Wan,Peng Deng,Kenan Zhang,Shijie Ding,Eryin Wang,Mingzhe Yan,Huaqing Huang,Hongyun Zhang,Zhilin Xu,Jonathan D. Denlinger,Alexei V. Fedorov,Haitao Yang,Wenhui Duan,Hong Yao,Yang Wu,y Shoushan Fan,Haijun Zhang,Xi Chen,Shuyun Zhou +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that MoTe2 is a type-II Weyl semimetal, hosting Weyl fermions that have no counterpart in high-energy physics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theory of electron nematic order in LaFeAsO
TL;DR: In this article, a spin S quantum Heisenberg model on the Fe lattice of the rare-earth oxypnictide superconductors was studied, and it was shown that this model exhibits a sequence of two phase transitions: from a high-temperature symmetric pha
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Realization of an Intrinsic Magnetic Topological Insulator
Yan Gong,Jingwen Guo,Jiaheng Li,Kejing Zhu,Menghan Liao,Xiaozhi Liu,Qinghua Zhang,Lin Gu,Lin Tang,Xiao Feng,Ding Zhang,Wei Li,Can-Li Song,Lili Wang,Pu Yu,Xi Chen,Yayu Wang,Hong Yao,Wenhui Duan,Yong Xu,Yong Xu,Shou-Cheng Zhang,Xucun Ma,Qi-Kun Xue,Ke He +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental realization of thin films of an intrinsic magnetic topological insulator, MnBi 2 Te 4, by alternate growth of a Bi 2 Te 3 quintuple layer and a MnTe bilayer with molecular beam epitaxy was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lorentz-violating type-II Dirac fermions in transition metal dichalcogenide PtTe 2
Mingzhe Yan,Huaqing Huang,Kenan Zhang,Eryin Wang,Wei Yao,Ke Deng,Guoliang Wan,Hongyun Zhang,Masashi Arita,Haitao Yang,Zhe Sun,Hong Yao,Yang Wu,Shoushan Fan,Wenhui Duan,Shuyun Zhou +15 more
TL;DR: Experimental evidence of type-II Dirac fermions in bulk stoichiometric PtTe2 single crystal with a pair of strongly tilted Dirac cones is reported and provides opportunities for investigating novel quantum phenomena and topological phase transition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Classification of topological insulators and superconductors in the presence of reflection symmetry
TL;DR: In this paper, a topological classification of insulators and superconductors in the presence of both (nonspatial) discrete symmetries in the Altland-Zirnbauer classification and spatial reflection symmetry in any spatial dimensions is discussed.
