A description of the tides in the Eastern North Atlantic

TL;DR: In this paper, a description of the Eastern North Atlantic tidal dynamics (in a region spanning from 20°N to 48°N in latitude and from 34°W to 0° in longitude) is obtained by means of new in situ measurements and numerical modelling based on TOPEX/POSEIDON-derived data sets.

Nivmar: a storm surge forecasting system for Spanish waters

TL;DR: In this paper, a storm surge prediction system for the Spanish Waters is presented, named Nivmar, which is based on the ocean circulation Hamsom model and on the harmonical prediction of tides computed from data measured by the tide gauge network Redmar, managed by Puertos del Estado.
