Kinzler,Bert Vogelstein,Nickolas Papadopoulos,Luis A. Diaz,Luis A. Diaz +69 more
TL;DR: The ability of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) to detect tumors in 640 patients with various cancer types was evaluated and suggested that ctDNA is a broadly applicable, sensitive, and specific biomarker that can be used for a variety of clinical and research purposes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Retrospective review of 208 patients with leiomyosarcoma of the uterus: Prognostic indicators, surgical management, and adjuvant therapy
Robert L. Giuntoli,Daniel S. Metzinger,Connie S DiMarco,Stephen S. Cha,Jeff A. Sloan,Gary L. Keeney,Bobbie S. Gostout +6 more
TL;DR: Tumor grade and stage appear to be valid prognostic indicators for leiomyosarcoma of the uterus and an LMS risk-assessment index that was generated is highly predictive of survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of DNA from the Papanicolaou Test to Detect Ovarian and Endometrial Cancers
Isaac Kinde,Chetan Bettegowda,Chetan Bettegowda,Yuxuan Wang,Jian Wu,Nishant Agrawal,Nishant Agrawal,Ie Ming Shih,Robert J. Kurman,Fanny Dao,Douglas A. Levine,Robert L. Giuntoli,Richard B.S. Roden,James R. Eshleman,Jesus Paula Carvalho,Suely Kazue Nagahashi Marie,Nickolas Papadopoulos,Kenneth W. Kinzler,Bert Vogelstein,Luis A. Diaz +19 more
TL;DR: A technique that may make the Pap smear even more versatile by expanding it into a test for multiple cancers, including endometrial and the dreaded ovarian cancer, which is essentially untreatable unless it is caught early.
Journal ArticleDOI
Retrospective review of 208 patients with leiomyosarcoma of the uterus: prognostic indicators, surgical management, and adjuvant therapy
Robert L. Giuntoli,Daniel S. Metzinger,Connie S DiMarco,Stephen S. Cha,Jeff A. Sloan,Gary L. Keeney,Bobbie S. Gostout +6 more
TL;DR: Tumor grade and stage appear to be valid prognostic indicators for LMS of the uterus, and a highly predictive LMS risk-assessment index that was generated is useful for counseling patients.

Ovarian cancer-associated ascites demonstrates altered immune environment: implications for antitumor immunity.
Robert L. Giuntoli,Tonya J. Webb,Alessia Zoso,Ophelia Rogers,Teresa P. Díaz-Montes,Robert E. Bristow,Mathias Oelke +6 more
TL;DR: Ovarian cancer-associated ascites may provide an immunosuppressive environment and a high CD4/CD8 ratio, which may indicate the presence of regulatory T-cells, is associated with poor outcome.
