The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC

S. Chatrchyan, +3175 more
TL;DR: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN as mentioned in this paper was designed to study proton-proton (and lead-lead) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV (5.5 TeV nucleon-nucleon) and at luminosities up to 10(34)cm(-2)s(-1)
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of Functional Materials Using Coherence Scanning Interferometry and Environmental Chambers

TL;DR: In this article , a review of the usefulness of interference microscopy for functional materials is presented, and the results of each system and technique demonstrate that it can be used for more fully characterizing the small structures and inhomogeneous materials typically found in functional materials.
