The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC

S. Chatrchyan, +3175 more
TL;DR: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN as mentioned in this paper was designed to study proton-proton (and lead-lead) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV (5.5 TeV nucleon-nucleon) and at luminosities up to 10(34)cm(-2)s(-1)
Journal ArticleDOI

Aging tests of full scale CMS muon cathode strip chambers

TL;DR: In this paper, two cathode strip chambers were tested for aging effects in the high radiation environment at the Gamma Irradiation Facility at CERN and showed no significant changes in gas gain, chamber efficiency and wire signal noise were observed for either of the two chambers.
Journal Article

[Clinical effect of fetal reduction by intracranial and intrathoracic KCl injection].

TL;DR: Intracranial KCl injection can be an effective alternative to intrathoracic KCl injections for multifetal pregancy reduction in the early second trimester.
