The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC

S. Chatrchyan, +3175 more
TL;DR: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN as mentioned in this paper was designed to study proton-proton (and lead-lead) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV (5.5 TeV nucleon-nucleon) and at luminosities up to 10(34)cm(-2)s(-1)

CMS : the TriDAS Project Technical Design Report; v.1, the Trigger Systems

G. L. Bayatyan, +1773 more
Journal ArticleDOI

A high resolution γ-ray array for the pandora plasma trap

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors describe the high efficiency High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector array that will be placed around the magnetic trap for this purpose, as well as the front-end electronics and acquisition system suitable for the array operation in presence of a high counting rate background originating from Bremsstrahlung radiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conceptual design of the AGATA 2π array at LNL

J. J. Valiente-Dobón, +168 more
TL;DR: The Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) has been installed at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (LNL), Italy as mentioned in this paper , which consists of 13 AGATA triple clusters with an angular coverage of 1π, and progressively the number of ATCs will increase up to a 2π angular coverage.

A Simulation of an Event Building Network for the CMS High Energy Physics Experiment

TL;DR: In this article, a simulation of the event building network of the Data Acquisition System of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN has been developed, which allows the validation of the system design and the optimization of its performance.
