Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy in higher eukaryotes

Daniel J. Klionsky, +235 more
- 16 Feb 2008 -
TL;DR: A set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of the methods that can be used by investigators who are attempting to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as by reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that investigate these processes are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Engrailed Homeobox Genes Regulate Establishment of the Cerebellar Afferent Circuit Map

TL;DR: The data suggest that En1/2 are master regulators of three-dimensional organization of the cerebellum and coordinately regulate morphology, patterned gene expression, and afferent topography.
Journal ArticleDOI

Increased cerebellar Purkinje cell numbers in mice overexpressing a human bcl-2 transgene.

TL;DR: Because bcl‐2 overexpression has been shown to rescue other neurons from programmed cell death, the increase in Purkinje cell numbers in overexpressing bCl‐2 transgenics suggests thatPurkinje cells undergo a period of cell death during normal development.
