Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy

Daniel J. Klionsky, +1287 more
- 01 Apr 2012 -
TL;DR: These guidelines are presented for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gene expression in honey bee (Apis mellifera) larvae exposed to pesticides and Varroa mites (Varroa destructor)

TL;DR: Impacts of pesticides and Varroa parasitism on honey bee larval gene expression were demonstrated and interactions between larval treatments and gene expression for the targeted genes are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cell death localization in situ in laboratory reared honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) larvae treated with pesticides

TL;DR: The data suggest that the tested pesticides induced apoptosis in tissues of honey bee larvae at the tested concentrations, with implications of elevated apoptotic cell death in salivary glands and ovaries after pesticide application.
