Prognostic value of intratumoral neutrophils in advanced gastric carcinoma in a high-risk area in northern Italy.

TL;DR: The results suggest that women appear to have a better prognosis than men in advanced gastric carcinoma, and gender differences in some host defense mechanisms and particularly in neutrophil function may be responsible for this event.

Interleukin 21 contributes to the mucosal T helper cell type 1 response in coeliac disease. Commentaries

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the role of interleukin 21 (lL21), a cytokine that regulates T cell activation, in coeliac disease and found that IL21 is overproduced in the mucosa of CD patients, where it helps sustain T-bet expression and IFNγ production.
